The extension of the Herbert Art Gallery Museum in Coventry proofs an extremely high-quality design of the modern timber and timber-and-glass structure. The roof of the 12 m high entrance hall (50x10m) consists of an asymmetrical polygonal barrel roof based on a diamond construction. The roof of the library Building is made of straight and curved Leno panels (CLT) supported on curved beams of parallel laminated timber. Completed with a mullion stick façade the extension with its sustainable design adds more public identity to the gallery.
